2008 Small Project Awards
Recipients
Coming Soon: Later this fall the Small Project Practitioners will
issue a call for submissions for its 2009 Small Project Awards.
Categories will include projects under $500,000, designed
objects under $50,000, and accessible residential designs.
Don’t miss your opportunity to enter your small project or
structure in this esteemed awards program – watch this
space!
Diversity Recognition
Program
This program celebrates and invites the contributions of AIA
members toward the goal of a more diverse profession. Up to 12
submissions will be selected annually to be recognized as Diversity
Best Practices. All individuals submitting a proposal must sign the
waiver/release form. Electronic
submissions are preferred and should be sent to diversity@aia.org by September
15.

In every culture, death is recognized and addressed. In some, how
you die is more important than how you live. In others, death is
assigned an insignificant role. We at the AIA have the sad duty to
inform you of the passing of one of our leaders. In early October,
Diane Trevarrow Evans passed away as a tragic outcome of clinical
depression. For us, it was how she lived that we want to remember.
