How to Become Involved in the CLE

The advisory group is excited about the future of the CLE and looks forward to working with all members, those seeking leadership education and those experienced with leadership programs, as well as reaching out to other knowledge communities and allied organizations. As a new knowledge community, the CLE offers three ways for you to become involved.

  • Write your experiences with leadership programs. Anecdotally we know members who have participated in leadership programs. Please take the time to write a brief paragraph of your experiences with a leadership program, local or national, through your community or other agency. Provide some examples of the most valuable leadership moment during the program, and how it changed you or benefited your profession or society at large. Selected entries will be published on the CLE Web site. E-mail your experience to Patricia Lukas or fax to Leadership Education Experiences, 202-626-7518.
  • Become a member of committee. As a new community, we are looking for AIA members from all regions of the country who are interested in serving on CLE committees and creating a network to exchange information on leadership education. Committees include communication, outreach, research, resources, and professional development. If you are interested, e-mail Patricia Lukas.
  • Complete a questionnaire on leadership education. Help identify resources and needs in leadership skills by completing a short questionnaire and help the CLE develop programs that fit your needs. Completed forms may be faxed to CLE Questionnaire, 202-626-7518.

For more information about the CLE, contact Patricia Lukas, AIA project manager, or Michael Ayles, AIA, 2006 CLE Chair.
