Interior Architecture

The mission of the Interior Architecture Knowledge Community is to provide leadership and expertise to practitioners of interior architecture and design. The Interior Architecture Knowledge Community works cooperatively with its members and other interiors organizations to address relevant, timely practice issues, markets, and trends, such as licensing, liability, environmental, and technological considerations. Through the Interior Architecture Knowledge Community, important links are maintained with allied professionals, service providers, and manufacturers.

The Interior Architecture Knowledge Community also investigates the differentiation of the practice of interiors within the practice of architecture through the use of targeted programs, the AIA, and public/trade media. The Interior Architecture Knowledge Community promotes excellence and innovation within the profession through a variety of technical/practice-related education programs and services. Through these programs, conferences, and publications, the Interior Architecture Knowledge Community works as a knowledge provider for the continuing education needs of architects who practice interiors.
